Let’s face it - if you’re viewing videos on Youtube or Google there is a good chance you (and your child) will see inappropriate content. Recently I was watching Sade videos on Google and on the 4th page of listings - were page after page of sex videos. With that in mind, we saw a need for a Music Video site that’s controlled and has a concept that includes “Kid Safe” surfing.

It’s a tough job, but we actually view every image and listen to every video. Having said that we still miss a few here and there but do catch them (recent 2PAC video) had a lead that was not appropriate. Our guideline for content on http://www.Vnertia.com and http://www.vnertia.com/mnap is the PG 13 ratings set by the MPAA.

Quote: “A PG-13 rating is a sterner warning by the Rating Board to parents to determine whether their children under age 13 should view the motion picture, as some material might not be suited for them. A PG-13 motion picture may go beyond the PG rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, adult activities or other elements, but does not reach the restricted R category. The theme of the motion picture by itself will not result in a rating greater than PG-13, although depictions of activities
related to a mature theme may result in a restricted rating for the motion picture. Any drug use will initially require at least a PG-13 rating. More than brief nudity will require at least a PG-13 rating, but such nudity in a PG-13 rated motion picture generally will not be sexually oriented. There may be depictions of violence in a PG-13 movie, but generally not both realistic and extreme or persistent violence. A motion picture’s single use of one of the harsher sexually-derived words, though only as an
expletive, initially requires at least a PG-13 rating. More than one such expletive requires an R rating, as must even one of those words used in a sexual context. The Rating Board nevertheless may rate such a motion picture PG-13 if, based on a special vote by a two-thirds majority, the Raters feel that most American parents would believe that a PG-13 rating is appropriate because of the context or manner in which the words are used or because the use of those words in the motion picture is inconspicuous.”

Vnertia.com recently launched google Custom Search on its MnAP (Music and Artist Page). I wanted a way to ensure my pages were being indexed by google and to see how my url links looked to the outside world. In addition, the custom search has proven to be a nice feature that helps vnertia visitors to find what they’re looking for.

Recent news indicates that due to the positive response - Google will add new features and global support, resulting in even more growth.

To Quote “Now, the Custom Search platform is expanding further by simultaneously improving our indexing for your search engine and broadening our reach to power AdSense for Search. AdSense publishers can now create Custom Search Engines (CSEs) and take advantage of the most popular customization features right within their AdSense accounts.”

As you may know, Custom Search is built on top of the Google index, which means that pages that are available on Google.com are also available to your search engine. In addition, Custom Search now maintains its own index for enhanced coverage for web sites included in CSEs.

If you have pages that aren’t currently being indexed in Google.com, you can let google know about those pages by submitting a Sitemap through Webmaster Tools, and pages in your Sitemap that aren’t included in the Google index will be detected and indexed for your search engine. Improved index coverage is not instantaneous as it takes some time for the pages to be crawled and indexed. Please also note that this improved indexing only affects search results within the search engine you create, not your rank and indexing on Google.com.

AdSense has now been integrated into Google Custom Search.

MnAP (Music and Artist Project) has the lofty goal of becoming a leading repository of Musical and Theatrical Artist. We are proud to announce our beta launch of Vnertia Music Video Jukebox & Video Station.

Our model:

1) A Bio Read Me file. This file will contain Biographies of the Musical or Theatrical Artist and will be embedded in the flash file.
2) An image repository. Our goal is to collect 80 to 99 high to good quality images of each Musical or Theatrical Artist. Note: The flash file will give you a thumbnail. Once the thumbnail is selected, you will receive an auto-sized image (to fit within the flash player) – to see the full image size, click on the image link found at the bottom of the image.
3) Embedded youtube/google videos with Auto play turned on. Just as in Vnertia.com – we see the need for an auto “playlist”. Think of Pandora’s popularity and we would venture to say it’s due to songs playing automatically. We have the same concept, except we deal with videos. On Vnertia.com – you can play genre video collections automatically. On MnAP, you will see approximately 5 videos centered around the specific artist. MnAP is a Video Jukebox, video juketube presented in its simplest and most user friendly format.
4) What’s an artist collection without articles and interviews? So, we will provide external links to interviews on AOL and Rolling Stones. Plus two more powerful features; auto lyric search and auto guitar tab search – all based on the artist / band you are viewing.
5) And finally – we will always provide the link to the Official Home Page / Website of the Artist.

Vnertia’s MnAP (Music and Artist Project). Fergie is our very first post and a good exammple of how MnAP will work.

MnAP (Music and Artist Project) has the lofty goal of becoming a leading repository of Musical and Theatrical Artist. I’m currently setting up the directory structure and modifying wordpress to embed all the content into a mini flash component. Is this a revamp of music collection on the internet? Not really, but it’s a better presentation of related information. In time – all of your favorite artist will be on MnAP and Vnertia.com.
A quick word about the flash component. We thought it best to include everything one would search for or like to view when looking for information about musical or theatrical artists. Before launching MnAP – we scoured the internet and though there are similar sites – none do what we do. 
